Waite, Murphy to face Eagles

CARLTON utility Jarrad Waite will make his long-awaited return to AFL football in a NAB Challenge match against West Coast at Leederville Oval in Perth on Saturday.
Waite hasn't played since undergoing a knee reconstructon after suffering a partial tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during the Blues' loss to Adelaide at AAMI Stadium in round nine last year.
"I'm, really looking forward to it...I’m definitely ready to start playing again,” Waite told carltonfc.com.au.
"I am just going to play a half, run around, get a bit of match fitness; I don’t think there are too many expectations on my performance."
In further good news for Carlton, classy midfielder Marc Murphy is also right to face the Eagles after having his pre-season interrupted by hip surgery in January.
