Warnock's season over

FREMANTLE ruckman Robert Warnock has played his last game for the season and will undergo shoulder surgery on Friday.

The Dockers released a statement saying the 206cm ruckman will undergo the surgery to allow him the "best possible chance to recover and prepare for the 2009 pre-season".

The 21-year-old comes out of contract at the end of this season and has attracted strong interest from several Melbourne-based clubs.

Fremantle are desperate to retain Warnock and have already commenced negotiations to extend his stay at the club.
