We need to improve quickly: Lyon

ST KILDA coach Ross Lyon says his side needs to improve quickly or they can forget about finals.
The 14-point loss to an undermanned Collingwood side at the MCG on Saturday night has seen the Saints drop to eighth spot on the AFL ladder.
They still need to win two of their last three games to secure a finals berth but face a tough run home with matches against an improved Fremantle at Subiaco Oval next week followed by Telstra Dome clashes against fellow finals contenders Adelaide and Essendon.
"There are a few things we need to fix and we need to do it quickly and move on," Lyon said.
Lyon also stressed to his players the importance of getting their season back on track following losses to the 15th-placed Eagles and Collingwood in the past three weeks with an unconvincing win over 14th-placed Port Adelaide sandwiched in between.
"We spoke to the players about it (after the game) and you (the media) will talk about it and it is going to be thrown up and that is finals as an agenda," he said.
"But it's about improving our football and getting going once again."
"Clearly the West Coast game was poor, the Port game we won in a lot of areas but our forward efficiency was poor and then (against Collingwood) we were slow out of the blocks."
"But we know we are better than that and our aim is to try and keep improving and we felt we had done that but clearly we have faltered a little bit."
