WESTERN BULLDOGS defender Tom Williams has suffered another setback in his bid to break back into the senior side.
Williams suffered a quadriceps strain while playing for VFL side Williamstown on Saturday.
It was Williams' first game back from a serious shoulder injury after the Bulldogs decided to take a cautious approach by easing him through the VFL.
Bulldogs football manager James Fantasia said the 21-year-old would have scans today and could miss another two weeks.
"The poor kid, he's been copping it every single time," Fantasia said.
"I feel sorry for him because it's just doing his head in, I think. We've got a glimmer of hope that we can still resurrect some part of his finals campaign, but we'll just have to wait and see."
