Worsfold questions Eagles' intensity

WEST COAST coach John Worsfold has questioned his players' intensity and skills following the 13-point loss to Fremantle in the western derby at Subiaco Oval on Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles dominated the first half but led by just 23 points at half-time after kicking a wasteful 6.13.
Fremantle stormed back into the contest in the second half, slamming on nine goals to three to secure their fourth straight derby win.
Worsfold admitted his side wasn't good enough and questioned whether some of his players failed to stand up when the Dockers mounted their challenge.
"We weren't good enough today, we missed our opportunities," Worsfold said.
“Our use of the ball, our kicking skills are nowhere near as good as they should be."
“Our tackling is nowhere near as good as it should be and our ability to use the ball well going inside our forward 50, so there are three massive areas of work that we’ll be doing.”
"We were getting the ball in there (during the first half) and getting plenty of scoring shots, just not kicking goals. But in the third quarter we were just smashed around the ground."
"They ran harder and were more attacking in that second half and we were flat footed and looked second rate because they were more urgent."
"Did some of our players lower their intensity because of the different style that Fremantle played, that's what we have to work out and if that's the case those players need to be able to answer questions about that."
Worsfold also said a finals side wouldn't lose such a match.
"Today was going to be a crucial game for us considering we got beaten last week in a close game," he said.
"So we've had three games this year that have been winnable and we've been within a couple of goals, three goals."
"But we haven't won any of them and that's the difference, finals teams will have grabbed a fair share of those games throughout the year and now we've missed three out of three."
"So that's going to make it very, very tough but we'll still aim to play better than we are at the moment and win our share of games."
